My Clever Husband

Every once in a while, I stumble across a blog that catches my eye. Some random person in this huge world of ours writes something clever or interesting or profound and I happen to come across it. I often think to myself, "I think I'd like that person if I met them." It's actually quite weird to have this feeling of respect and camaraderie with someone I don't even know just because I like what they wrote. Anne Shirley would say they are of the "race that knows Joseph"... but I digress; that's another blog altogether!
A few weeks ago I came across a technical blog about the current battle between Google and Yahoo and felt that same sense of awe and reverence for a great mind. I thought to myself, "Wow, that guy really knows what he's talking about... and he says everything in such a clever way!"
Most of you have figured out by now that the author of that blog was my clever husband, Paul. Of course, I knew when we got married that he was a great writer and a smart guy, but five and a half years later I'm still in awe of who he is! In the past year and a half, he's taught himself web design, photo editing, graphics design and a multitude of programs associated with those disciplines. I'm indebted to him for keeping me up to speed with the technical world around me by patiently teaching me how to code my own blogs, or by showing me the usefulness of an RSS feed or simply by explaining to me all of the intricacies of the online war between Google and Yahoo!
So I guess I'm just taking a few minutes to brag on my guy. I've been meaning to for weeks now and haven't gotten around to it... only to have my him beat me to it! (Talk about e-guilt!)
